I started mk1studios because I believed small businesses deserved the same quality of web work as large companies — but with a personal touch that only a small studio can provide.
Based in Bridlington on the beautiful East Yorkshire coast, I've been designing and building websites since the early days of the web. Over two decades, I've worked with businesses of all kinds — from sole traders and local shops to councils and established companies across the region.
In that time, I've seen trends come and go, tools evolve, and the web change beyond recognition. What's stayed constant is my belief that a great website starts with understanding a business deeply — its goals, its customers, and what makes it special.
